Prior to any work being commenced, discreet test areas are used to identify the correct methods of cleaning to be employed, a Schedule of Works drawn up thus allowing us to liaise with relevant Authorities and Clients. Samples may be taken for analysis at this stage.
The restoration work often involves either removing years of a buildup of ingrained dirt and grime on brickwork or stone or removing multi layers of impervious paint. Having removed the surface coating, it allows the exposed masonry to be surveyed and a considered approach to assess further work required – brick repair/replacement, pointing, crack repair etc. which are covered in detail on subsequent pages of this website.
